Quilt first then add colour later… sounds good?  I’ll show you how I create one-of-a-kind quilted pieces without any patchwork or applique.  It is great fun seeing your coloured whole cloth quilt develop.  This is a no-sew class.  A compulsory kit will be provided.  You just need to bring yourself, your set of Inktense pencils and a few small household items.  Beginner – Advanced and anybody in between.

Student Requirements:

The compulsory kit contains 2 x 10” square pre-quilted class sample blocks ready to colour;1 x set of paintbrushes and 2 x 25ml tub of gel mediums

• Basic Sewing Supplies
• Derwent Inktense Pencils – your choice of 12’s, 24’s, 36’s or 72’s
• Optional: if you have the Inktense Blocks then bring them along but don’t go and buy them yet
• Optional: if you have liquid fabric paints then you can also bring them along but don’t go and buy them yet
• Apron or old shirt/t-shirt
• Paper towels
• 2 tubs or cups for clean and dirty water
• Pencil sharpener
• Pencil eraser
• Notebook, pen/pencil, ruler
