Machine appliqué with creative stitching. Create a unique design with funky fabrics and colours, using Dal’s patterns. Add texture with creative stitching, beads and embroidery. This class is about having fun with fabrics and stitches. An element of design is included. This class is a return to slow stitching. There is some machine work but it can also be done entirely by hand or, conversely, entirely by machine. Dal advocates including handwork as this creates different textures adding to the interest and fun of the work. Although the class is marked intermediate, beginners could also manage it.
