In this class, the students will learn how to do free-motion machine embroidery.  They are going to create their own beautiful fabric that will be quilted and ready for their free-motion machine embroidery design.  They will learn how to finish off their artwork with a very different finish to the traditional way and leave at the end of the class with a completed artwork.

Student Requirements:

The compulsory kit contains black 100% cotton fabric; organza; Angelina fibres; 2 layers of batting; 3 x Isacord threads; 2 x 1.5 m yarn; flower pattern

• Basic Sewing Supplies
• Marking pens: white/silver pencil
• Quilting gloves – nitrile coated preferably to rubber coated
• Machine needles:
  o Topstitch/Cordonette needles
  o Jeans needles or Universal size 90
• Fine Liner permanent marker
• Machine Presser Feet (included with BERNINA/bernette b05 machines):
  o Walking Foot
  o Open toe free motion embroidery presser foot or darning presser foot
  o Zig-zag presser foot
  o Straight stitch presser foot
• Small cutting mat and rotary cutter with a new blade
• Extension cord, 15 amp plug or adaptor, surge protector plug

NOTE: BERNINA and bernette b05 sewing machines with accessories will be provided (no machine rental will apply).
