Details

Students will work on 4 modern quilting techniques: Matchstick Quilting, Improv Grid Quilting, Straight Line Quilting and Spiral Quilting.  The completed samples showcasing these quintessential modern quilting techniques can be finished with binding into delightful mini quilts or made into decorative cushions.  Students will prepare 4 mini quilt tops at home.  They will sew 4 simple quilt tops and pin-baste the quilt sandwiches at home so that they are ready to get to the fun stuff in the class.  Any questions or further information: diana@vandeyar.net.

Student Requirements:

• Basic Sewing Supplies
• Fabric:
• Quilting thread in coordinating colour
• Sewing machine in good working order;
  o Walking Foot or Dual Feed presser foot
• Extension cord, 15 amp plug or adaptor, surge protector plug
• New quilting needle for machine sewing

NOTE: Quilt pattern instructions will be provided after registration. Students must prepare 18-inch finished size quilt sandwiches before class, as there will not be class time available for sandwiching.
