Student Requirements:

• Basic Sewing Supplies
• Fabric:
  o Background Fabrics:
  - 2 shades of "cream" 40cm of each
  o Sashing, log cabin inside:
  - 30cm of a "busy" fabric (C)
  o Log cabin strips:
  - Green and pink 4cm each
  - Blue and purple 8cm each
  o Houses:
  - 25cm x25cm of fifteen colours (floral and plain)
  o Birds:
  - 15cm x 15cm of ten colours
  o Borders:
  - Cream 40cm (E)
  - Light green 60cm (F)
  - Blue narrow 20cm (D)
  - Binding 45cm (G)
• Thread: o 100% cotton machine threads to match fabrics for appliqué
  o Neutral 100% cotton machine thread for assembling
• 1m x 1m appliqué paper
• 1m x 1m Tear Away
• 25cm x 1m Loomtex/thin batting
• Light/white teflon appliqué sheet
• Pencil
• Masking tape
• Fine permanent marker
• Fabric and paper scissors
• Removable fabric marker
• Quilt ruler (inches)
• Cutting mat and rotary cutter with new blade
• Sewing Machine in good working order;
  o Appliqué presser foot and
  o Quarter-inch presser foot
• Extension cord, 15 amp plug or adaptor, surge protector plug
