Details

Using a walking foot or differential feed on your machine, you will quilt straight lines and simple designs to fill the spaces on your quilt.  For the designs, Marline will show you how to use your ruler or compass or a CD or even spray-can tops to create lovely designs.  Marline will also show you how easy it is to make some very interesting and easy-to-quilt border designs.  With many hints, tips and ideas to quilt your future projects, this class is all about the fun and joy of machine quilting.

Student Requirements:

• Basic Sewing Supplies
• You will need a lap/cot size quilt that you need to sandwich before the class. Please do not bring larger quilts. Please make sure you pin it carefully and do not use batting thicker than Loomtex.
• 1 Reel quilting thread
• A 1-inch ruler is great, but bring what you have
• An Old CD
• Spray can lid (for marking circles)
• Marking pencil
• Scissors
• Sewing machine in good working order;
  o Open toe walking foot.
  o If your machine has an integrated/differential feed presser foot please bring an open toe presser foot. It is very important to have an open toe presser foot.
• Extension cord, 15 amp plug or adaptor, surge protector plug
