Very creative and most playful bending of straight lines... creating movement, colour and texture... like wind blowing through the grass... adding bright, colourful and creative little zingers to fill up all the spaces in between...  Other options to extend the panel (easy add-on) will also be discussed in class.

Student Requirements:

The compulsory kit contains Vilene, water-soluble stitched leaves, netting and lamé

• Basic Sewing Supplies
• Fabric:
  o 1 x A4 felt (your choice of a favourite colour).
  o Contrasting colour felt for stems and leaves.
  o Variety of contrasting cotton scraps and strips – solids, subtle prints and recycled sari silk for stems and flowers (study class example).
• Batting and backing (35 cm x 19 cm each)
• Variety of cotton machine threads and black thread
• Optional: very fine, interesting crochet cord (gold/ bronze)
• Cutting mat and rotary cutter with a new blade
• Sewing machine in good working order;
  o Appliqué presser foot and
  o Darning stitch presser foot
• Extension cord, 15 amp plug or adaptor, surge protector plug
