Elaine Barnard

Elaine’s quilts and work represent archives of her life which stem from words, travels, layers and secrets that women share.  She is a SAQG Recommended Quilting Teacher and has been teaching at National Quilt Festivals since 1996.  For the past 32 years, she has participated in various juried exhibitions, solo exhibitions and invited artist group exhibitions locally and internationally - Europe, the USA, England, Ireland, Australia and Japan.  Her fibre art has won awards in South Africa and internationally, including ‘Best on Show’ and ‘Best of Country’.  Her work has also been published in a collection of books and magazines.
