Details

Students will create a small (12-inch x 12-inch) embellished landscape quilt top of the seaside.  They will learn various techniques including needle punching, beading and machine stitching.  This is a fun and frivolous no-pressure class.

Student Requirements:

The compulsory kit contains cotton fabric; chiffon; hessian beads; yarn; Stitch and Tear stabilizer; gauze; lace; string

• Basic Sewing Supplies
• Cream and Beige thread
• Crochet hook - 4mm
• Fabric scissors
• Felting machine or tools - there will be some available in the class for you to use if you do not have
• Machine needles - microtex and jeans
• Beading needles
• Sewing Machine in good working order;
  o Quarter-inchch presser foot and
  o Open toe appliqué presser foot.
  o Any other presser feet that you have for your machine.
  o Remember to bring the card/book that tells you what embroidery stitches you have
• Extension cord, 15 amp plug or adaptor, surge protector plug
