This class will give you insight into the magical uses of water-soluble fabric!  You will be shown how to create your own uniquely individual textural cloth onto which you will embroider your chosen tree after you have a few designs from which to choose.  Once completed you can either frame your artwork or use it as part of a quilt.

Student Requirements:

The compulsory kit contains a booklet with instructions and a choice of tree designs; bird’s nest; Moroccan buttons; small pieces of felt; 2x water-soluble fabric 30cm x 30cm and 1 piece of netting 30cm x 30 cm. There will also be threads, wool, yarn, silk waste and bird’s nest available for use in class.

• Basic Sewing Supplies
• Fabric scissors
• Embroidery needles
• Approx. 20 safety pins or pins or fabric spay glue
• Pen to trace the pattern
• Small old towel
• Collection of beads
• Assorted embroidery threads (remember to include greens and browns)
